Timebased get arty with Brush and Bubbles02.08.19
This week the Timebased team unleashed their inner Van Gogh, with the help of the ladies at Brush and Bubbles.
Work activities are a great way for staff to learn a new skill and to strengthen bonds through memorable shared experiences. In the past we've gone bowling, played rounders and tried our hand at archery, so this time we went for something a little more creative.
Although many of the team had not properly picked up a paintbrush since school, we were delighted to get stuck in with a painting and prosecco workshop at The Islington Townhouse, hosted by Brush and Bubbles.
Each of us were given an apron, a glass of bubbly, and sat around a table with a blank canvas. Lara then led us through step by step on how to produce a magical starry night scene.
Halfway through, and it was clear that some of us had gone off piste with our own original interpretations, the competitive edge was on and envy had risen about the design team's boastful canvases. Having gone wild with various shades of dark blue, we blocked in our mountains and flecked the sky with white paint for stars, some 'inadvertently' splashing onto colleagues opposite.
2 hours or so later, with a couple of intervals to break our intense concentration and singalong to some good tunes, our masterpieces were complete. We were an army of Van Goghs and Picassos.
Thank you, Brush and Bubbles!
